Director of Risk Management 1.0 Days Rewarding opportunity for a patient safety advocate to plan, direct, and implement the Risk Management program at a progressive hospital in Southern Maryland. Responsibilities will include proactive risk assessment and reduction strategies and management of peer review program. Position requires BS degree in related field, Master's preferred and 5 years hospital related risk management or quality management experience. Certification in risk management preferred. Nursing background preferred. Excellent customer service skills.
Emergency Management Coordinator 0.5 Days EDUCATION: Work requires a Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required. EXPERIENCE: Work requires four years experience with disaster planning, emergency management, or emergency preparedness required. Training or experience in Project Management required. Prior training, certification and experience in the following areas strongly preferred: law enforcement, emergency planning and management, emergency department, emergency medical services and/or fire services, risk management, and hazardous materials management. Provide necessary project management and support for all emergency preparedness sub-committee agenda items as needed. Report to the Director of Safety and Security and Vice President of Performance Improvement/Risk Management (Chair of EOC Committee).
Family Nurse Practitioner 1.0 Days Current Maryland Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner license. Ability to interact with various physicians. Excellent customer services skills.
Occupational Therapist 0.6 Days Position requires a bachelor's degree. Current Maryland Occupational Therapy License. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for providing direct patient care in acute care, sub acute and outpatient settings. Completes all required documentation, assist with scheduling and attends interdisciplinary conferences as assigned.Required to lift and or move more than 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Therapist 0.5 Days Current Maryland Physical Therapy License. Master's degree in Physical Therapy medicine. Previous acute care experience a plus. Pediatric experience a plus. Excellent customer service skills a must. Work 7 consecutive night shifts and then be off 7.
Social Worker 0.8 Days - flexible PRIMARY FUNCTION: Completes Social Work Assessments utilizing the data toward formulating a diagnostic impression of the patients and families social and emotional functioning and developing and implementing a Treatment and Discharge Plan. EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a master's degree or 0-6 months equivalent combination of education and experience in related area. CERTIFICATIONS: LICENSES: Maryland Social work license (LCSW) Additional Information: Graduate from an approved accredited Master's Degree program in Clinical Social Work or related field. Professional Counselor or Clinical Nurse Specialist. Must be licensed in the State of Maryland. Psychological Demands: Psychological demands are heavy requiring emotional maturity and insight, sensitivity, and full understanding of transferential phenomena, particularly pertaining to issues related to social/interpersonal conflict, abuse/trauma and grief/bereavement.
