Is it true that Calvert Memorial now has free valet parking?
Beginning January 18, patients and visitors to CMH began to take advantage of a new free valet parking service, designed to enhance convenience and access to hospital services. Valet parking signs direct visitors to the front of the Calvert Medical Office Building where uniformed valets will park their cars in a nearby lot. This service is available Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
How many parking spaces have been added?
Previously, there were 832 spaces on the campus. CMH has added nearly 400 more to address the current shortfall of 150 and to meet future needs when the expansion is completed.
When will the new parking lot be completed?
The new lot is now openand patients and visitors should find parking on campus much easier. In order to protect them from construction traffic, the landscaping and permanent walkways will be installed when the expansion project nears completion.
Where are the new spaces located?
The new spaces are located near the hospital and the adjacent medical office building.
Will the courtesy shuttle still operate?
Yes. In 2005 CMH purchased a new, larger courtesy shuttle bus and expanded the hours it operates. During peak hours, volunteers circulate the surrounding parking lots in a covered, six-seat cart and provide those who need transport with a lift to their destination. If you need a lift, call 410-610-8100
