Thank you to everyone who supported this year's Storybook Ball on Saturday, November 4 2006. Close to 500 guests attended this year's event on the Prince Frederick Campus of the College of Southern Maryland. We are delighted in our expanded relationship with the college and thank them for their most generous hospitality.

We also wish to thank the sponsors of this year's ball, Curtis Showcase Homes in particular This is the second year they have been the major sponsor of our event. In addition, they once again sponsored the Party Before the Ball — an event showcasing the ball to those who have not previously attended or sponsored.

A very special thank you goes to the Harvest Ball Committee headed this year by Foundation Board members Kathy Dickinson and Karen O'Brien. They and their committee of dedicated, community volunteers created a truly elegant evening with a storybook ending.

With everyone's help, over $60,000 was raised for the pediatric waiting and treatment areas of the new Emergency Department scheduled to open in June 2007. We are certain the children of Calvert County would also like to thank you for your help in providing a child-friendly area in the new ED.
