| CMH Harvest Ball set for Nov. 6 at Old South
Experience the special glow of “Moonlight and Magnolias” and the incomparable elegance of the Old South Country Club in Lothian at the 17th annual Chesapeake Harvest Ball on Saturday, Nov. 6.
Don’t wait to buy your ticket. Last year’s event, the most successful ever, drew over 400 guests. Proceeds from the annual fundraiser, sponsored by the Calvert Memorial Hospital Foundation, will be used to purchase a computerized patient tracking system for the hospital’s new Emergency Department.
The popular black-tie gala provides a memorable evening of fine dining, great music and dancing to Highway Star. Partygoers will sample delectable dishes from a dazzling array of food stations featuring carving, seafood, Mezze (various Mediterranean influenced vegetarian items) and decadent desserts.
“Our committee of creative and talented volunteers has been hard at work for months to make sure that this year’s ball is truly exceptional,” said Diana Doswell, ball chair.
Highway Star brings authenticity to a wide variety of music, ranging from big band to current rock to top 40. The band features powerful vocals and sultry horns that light up favorites from the Motown era. Gregg Morris will return to entertain on the terrace.
Also returning to this year’s event will be the raffle for a piece of jewelry donated by Dickinson Jewelers. One winner will select a piece of fine jewelry from three items donated by Dickinson’s for the Harvest Ball. The jeweler will also have items in the silent auction that will be ongoing throughout the evening.
A choice of nine sponsorship packages is offered including reserved seating, special recognition and an exclusive cocktail party at an Old South residence. Wilmot Sanz and Leach Wallace signed up to be an Emerald sponsor and American Radiology Associates has committed to be a Ruby sponsor.
Ample seating will be provided for all guests on the new terrace with reserved tables for major sponsors. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
Tickets to the Harvest Ball are available by calling the CMH Foundation at 410-535-8178 or 301-855-1012, ext. 8178. On-line registration is now being accepted at www.calverthospitalcom/foundation |
