Sometimes depression, anxiety or other mental illness makes it difficult to enjoy life. There is hope.
At Calvert Memorial, we offer comprehensive services for individuals and families. In addition to 24-hour emergency psychiatric services through our emergency department, we provide inpatient care, adolescent day treatment and adult partial hospitalization programs.
Our inpatient unit operates 24-hours a day. A board-certified psychiatrist is present during the day and a psychiatrist is on-call for evening and night coverage. Registered nurses and mental health counselors staff the unit. Licensed clinical social workers and occupational therapists are also part of the team.
The adolescent psychiatric day treatment program treats teens 13-18 years old who have psychiatric, emotional or behavioral problems, or developmental delays severe enough to significantly impair family, social or school life. In partnership with the school system, a teacher helps students maintain their school work while at CMH. The program operates Monday – Friday from 8:15 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Transportation is provided as needed.
Our adult partial hospitalization program treats patients age 17 (if not in school) and up with severe psychiatric symptoms that interfere with daily functioning.
