Cardiopulmonary Services
The Cardiopulmonary Department at CMH provides respiratory care, cardiology, EEG and sleep disorder services to both inpatients and outpatients. The department is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by licensed/registered therapists. The Cardiopulmonary staff at CMH works with the Emergency Department to facilitate timely treatment and education of asthma patients. The Cardiopulmonary staff is a key participant in our efforts to plan and manage the care of the asthmatic patient.
The Cardiopulmonary department is located on the first floor of the main hospital. Respiratory care services and EKGs are available round-the-clock. For Respiratory Therapy services (pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gases), call 410-535-8340 or 301-855-1012, ext. 8340.
Cardiology services are available Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. For EKGs and stress tests, call 410-535-8340 or 301-855-1012, ext. 8340. If you have an HMO and your doctor has ordered an EKG to be done as an outpatient, it cannot be done here. It will need to be done by your primary care physician at their office.
