Knowing Where to Go
Calvert Memorial Hospital offers both urgent care centers and an emergency department with a "fast track" area to treat patients with minor illnesses and injuries. We want to be our best when you need us the most.
When a sore throat, earache, fever or minor injury strikes your child, you want medical attention right away. But many times your doctor's office has closed for the day. So, where can you go? Come to the CMH Urgent Care Centers in Dunkirk or Solomons.
The centers, which treat adults and children for minor medical emergencies, have lab and X-ray services on site. No appointment is needed and insurance billing is available. The centers are open weeknights from 6-10 p.m. and weekends from noon – 10 p.m.
We're also expanding our Emergency Department. When completed, it will be three times its current size. The extra space will allow us to add beds, new technology and many special features that will improve your privacy and comfort.
Registration is completed at the bedside and there is a nearby café with drinks and light snacks for family members. Each of the private treatment rooms has a TV, telephone and is wide enough to accommodate a family member in a comfortable chair. There is also a separate pediatric waiting area. |
